Founders Day is a special celebration that honors the establishment of the university and

its history. It' s important because it allows us to reflect on the university' beginnings and the

Contributions made by its founders. Savannah State University was founded on November 26,1890. The first president of the university was Richard R. Wright Sr. The name & Savannah State

University" comes from the university location in Savannah, Georgia.

           This day was a big plus for me, before coming to Savannah State I had done research on.the university. But today I learned a lot about our university. A rich history with many testimonies. We had several interventions from people who gave us inspiration and advice, it was

a pleasure to see and hear them all.

I am a very dreamy woman with a lot of courage and motivation so I sincerely believe

that I belong here because in Savannah state it is You can get anywhere from here.
